I attended Cincinnati State and received a degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, I attended the Workforce Development Center for Electrical and Process Controls training. I became an ISA Certified Control Systems Technician ( CCST ) and have since been promoted to a management position. I have been sending my technicians to the W.D.C. for training over the years and have on staff several ISA certified technicians, both CCST and CIMM - Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanics. I would recommend the W.D.C. to other supervisors and managers if they are looking to improve the capabilities and knowledge base of their teams.

After looking at several community colleges in the Dayton/Cincinnati area, we selected Cincinnati State to provide our in-house Communication, Structured On-The-Job, and Train-the Trainer Series. Cincinnati State and Colerain Fire & EMS have partnered to afford students the opportunity for college credit via numerous public safety programs. Our partnership with Cincinnati State College will provide our employees the opportunity to work towards education and training levels as identified by the National Professional Development Model developed by the United States Fire Administration and the National Fire Academy’s Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education Network. Our partnership will help to ensure we provide our residents, businesses, and visitors a diverse and educated workforce capable of mitigating any emergency within our Township. The Workforce Development staff including Dryden Jones and Erin Sarvis provide constant direction and communication with the Training Division. Our relationship will continue to thrive due to Workforce Developments customer service and diligence.
We wanted to inform you of our satisfaction with our ACLS class and our instructor, Erin Sarvin in March 2009. Erin provided an educational, yet comfortable atmosphere for our ACLS renewal course. Her training and knowledge of the subject matter was excellent. We hope to have her back in 2 years for our next ACLS renewal.
