GLOBAL LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE (GLA) ENDORSEMENT

The Global Logistics Associate (GLA) is an internationally recognized endorsement program that acknowledges the completion of rigorous coursework in logistics and supply chain for Supply Chain Management positions. This endorsement program focuses on the general knowledge of transportation and logistics and all associated functions necessary for the delivery of goods.

This 64-contact hour training includes the following topics:

  • Workplace Skills: The purpose of this unit is to teach you in a variety of knowledge-based skills related to employability and personal interaction with supervisors, co-workers and subordinates. In addition it will help enhance your understanding of essential job functions.
  • Supply Chain Management: The purpose of this unit is to help you understand the various functions involved in managing a company’s supply chain.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Upon completion of this unit you will understand the various modes of transportation, be able to describe a domestic freight system, and know the various government compliance entities and rules that govern transportation operations.
  • Warehouse Operations: Upon completion of this unit you will be well versed in understanding the complex role of warehousing, its role and compliance regulations.
  • SCM Information Technology: This unit gives you working knowledge of basic office computer applications as well as an overview of software specific to supply chain functions.


CLASS SCHEDULE: Tuesday/Thursday 5:30-8:30 p.m. & every other Saturday 12:15 - 4:15 p.m.

CLASS DATES: Classes start September 8th and end November 1st.
Saturday dates: 9/10, 9/24, 10/8, and 10/22.
