In about a week you can prepare yourself for a new career in the fast-growing energy efficiency industry by becoming a Certified BPI Professional.


Home Performance Courses and Certifications


BPI Building Analyst

The Cincinnati State (BPI) Building Analyst course is a concise week-long program including classroom instruction as well as hands-on field training using diagnostic equipment. Ninety percent of our students pass the BPI certification exams and become BPI certified. As certified Building Analyst you will be qualified to conduct home energy audits and provide home owners with a report including recommend energy improvement and potential energy savings. Energy Auditors typically receive $250 - $500 per audit

BPI Envelope/ Shell Professional

The Cincinnati State BPI Envelope Professional is a great second BPI certification to obtain. The BPI Envelope Professional will quantify performance and prescribe improvements to help tighten the building envelope (shell), stop uncontrolled air leakage and optimize comfort, durability and HV/AC performance. This certification is ideal for individuals and contractors who will perform the home insulation and air sealing work. This course covers advanced building envelope diagnostic, evaluation and repair skills in preparation for the BPI's Envelope Professional exams.

Residential Building Envelope Whole House Air Leakage Control Installer

Professionals with this certification implement measures to tighten the building envelope to reduce energy loss from air leakage and also reduce pollutants and allergens through air migration. Improve thermal comfort and energy efficiency through the proper installation of dense-pack insulation materials.
